Shamrock Shuffle 5K : Somerset, KY
The Shamrock Shuffle is a community running and walking event held on March 13, 2027 in Somerset, Kentucky, organized by the Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce. The event includes a measured 5K course with professional chip timing and a short youth sprint.

Race participants receive a participant bag that includes an event bib number, an event t-shirt in men's or women's sizes, and a course map. T-shirts are guaranteed for people who register before race day. Registration opens on November 21, 2026; fees listed for the main events include $25 for the 5K entries and $10 for the kids sprint. The Competitive Walk division has specific rules: walking must keep one foot on the ground at all times and is eligible for Top 3 overall male and female competitive walking awards.
Awards include plaques for the overall Top 3 men and women, medals for top finishers in each age group, and team plaques for the Fastest Team and the Largest Team. Teams must include at least five members; the Fastest Team award is based on the cumulative times of the fastest five finishers. Proceeds support local business community programs through the Chamber. A costume contest for best St. Patrick's Day themed outfit will be part of the event.
