The Shamrock Run is the 10th annual running of a 5k event in Omaha. It takes place in Aksarben Village, an area known for weekend activity with restaurants and festivals.
Location and Course
The event hub is at the Backlot Taphouse in Aksarben Village. The course is on the Keystone Trail near Mercy Road, running next to Little Papillion Creek. The source text describes this as one of the flattest areas of Omaha. The course is an out-and-back route heading south from the start.
Events and Registration
The event offers three options:
- Timed 5k for adults aged 18-99.
- Untimed 5k for adults aged 18-99.
- Untimed Kids 5k for participants aged 12-18.
Registration for the timed event has a price increase after a certain date. Race-day registration is available at the venue, with cash or check as the requested payment method. The event has a no-refund policy.
Participant Details
Adult registrants receive a T-shirt or beanie, with the first 100 registrants guaranteed this item. Kids registrants receive a beanie. The top male and female timed runners receive a hoodie. All participants are eligible for giveaways and prizes, but winners must be present.
