The Shamrock Run
The Shamrock Run takes place on Sunday March 15, 2026, at Pioneer Park in Billings, Montana. The event comprises a community 5 kilometer race and a separate 1 mile kids fun run for younger participants. Streets around Pioneer Park will be closed for the 5K course.
- SHAMROCK RUN 5K: 5 kilometers
- KIDS FUN RUN 1 MILE: 1 mile for ages 12 and under
The 5K is chip timed and the course is USATF certified. Entry fees listed for the 5K include a standard price and a reduced price for ages 8 to 18. Shirts are available while supplies last. Awards are given to top finishers based on chip time and must be claimed on race day at the Yellowstone Rim Runners tent.
The Kids Fun Run is free, untimed, and open to children age 12 and under; parents may accompany young runners for encouragement or safety. No shirt is provided for the kids event.
A beer garden will operate in the park for participants aged 21 and older with ID required. The event offers discounts including a $20 referral refund for referring five people and a 20 percent discount for current Yellowstone Rim Runners members.
