Shamrock N' Roll 5K in Asbury Park
The Shamrock N' Roll 5K is scheduled for March 14, 2026, and will be held in Asbury Park with the start and finish located outside the Stone Pony on Ocean Avenue. The race distance is 5K on a closed course in Asbury Park. The event was moved from Fort Monmouth for 2026 because of ongoing construction at the original location.
All participants receive a leprechaun suit. The event uses chip timing for official results. A water station will be located on 4th Avenue about halfway through the course, and there will be water at the finish. Restroom facilities will be available at the start and finish area. The course will be open for 90 minutes.
A special live performance by Brian Kirk & the Jirks is planned at the Stone Pony, with additional after parties to be announced. A portion of event proceeds will be donated to Asbury Park's Rodeo For Recreation fund to support youth summer camps and recreation programs in the city.
Priority registration for previous 2025 participants begins January 13 and allows the primary buyer to register with up to three guests at a discounted price. General on sale begins January 15 and early bird pricing is available through January 30. The event is produced by Beacon Events. Dogs on leash are allowed in the event area but not on the course.
