Born To Run 5 Mile Race
Born To Run is an annual road race organized by the Freehold Area Running Club in Freehold, New Jersey, held the day after Thanksgiving. The event includes a main 5 mile road race and a separate one mile kids race for ages seven to fourteen.

- One mile kids race (ages 7 to 14)
All registered runners receive a shirt and a finishers medal. The race collects donations for Open Door, with two donation locations at the finish line and at the firehouse. A course map is provided by the organizers.
Registration is available online through RunSignUp and by paper application. Entry fees vary by postmark date: $35 (by July 15), $40 (by October 27), $45 (by November 18), and $60 after November 18. Freehold Area Running Club members may pre-register for a reduced fee of $30 if postmarked by November 18; otherwise the fee is $60. The kids race entry fee is $10.
Bib and shirt pickup is scheduled at House of Sport in Freehold Raceway Mall on the Tuesday before race day, and on race day at the Freehold Fire Department. Awards include top overall male and female and top three male and female finishers across multiple standard age groups, plus awards for racewalkers.
