Shamrock Hill Run 5K
The Shamrock Hill Run takes place on March 14, 2026 in Roanoke, Virginia, and includes a family 1-mile event and a 5K. Both races start and finish at Roanoke Catholic School and use spectator friendly routes that wind through the Gainsboro neighborhood and the Lick Run Greenway.

The 5K will be chip-timed by Run Roanoke; the 1-mile event is not timed. Medals will be awarded in all men’s and women’s age groups. A prize will be presented for the best St. Patrick’s Day costume at a Celtic themed awards ceremony held in Roanoke Catholic’s Gillespie Family Gymnasium. The awards ceremony is open to participants and the general public.
Registration with guaranteed shirt entry is priced at $25 for the 1-mile and $30 for the 5K through February 22, 2026; later registration is listed at $30 for the 1-mile and $35 for the 5K and does not guarantee a shirt. Packet pickup is scheduled at RunAbout Sports in Townside Festival on March 12 and at Roanoke Catholic’s Gillespie Family Gymnasium on March 13 and on race day.
