Event overview
The Shamrock Hill Run takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Roanoke, Virginia. The event is organized by Roanoke Catholic School and includes two race options:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Run/Walk
Both races start and finish at Roanoke Catholic School, 621 North Jefferson Street, Roanoke, VA 24016. The course uses a new route that goes through the Gainsboro neighborhood and the Lick Run Greenway. Chip timing is provided by Run Roanoke. Medals are awarded in all men’s and women’s age groups. There are also special prizes for St. Patrick’s Day costumes, with an awards ceremony held in the Gillespie Family Gymnasium at Roanoke Catholic.
Registration, packet pickup, and proceeds
General registration opens January 30, 2026. Standard registration is listed at $30; registration after February 28 increases to $35. Race shirts are guaranteed for entrants who register by March 7. Packet pickup is scheduled for the day before the race at the Gillespie Family Gymnasium and will also be available on race morning. All proceeds benefit Roanoke Catholic School.
