Shamrock Gold Quest 5K, Fun Run and Beer Mile
The event takes place on March 14, 2026 at Ruby Grant Park in Norman, Oklahoma. It includes multiple race options and activities held at the park location 4343 36th Ave NW.

The 5K is a timed off road course. The 1 mile run is untimed and includes a course where participants can look for hidden gold coins placed along the route to win prizes. The Beer Mile is for participants aged 21 and over; racers consume a beer at the start and then at each quarter mile. The finish area features live bagpipes and complimentary green beer for participants 21 and over.
The event lists a charity partnership with St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The race is dog friendly and stroller friendly, and it takes place in a city park with general accessibility features. Pre race packet pickup is available at Beanstalk Coffee and Sno at 3408 36th Ave NW, with race day pickup also offered on site starting one hour before the race. Registration perks include a customized race bib with timing tag for 5K entrants, a color changing gold coin finisher medal, and an optional color changing hooded cotton t shirt while supplies last. The event is part of the Norman Parks and Rec run series which offers a 20 percent discount per event for series registration and eligibility for end of series awards.
