Event overview
The 4th Annual Shamong Turkey Trot takes place on Saturday, November 14, 2026, in Shamong, New Jersey. The event is organized by Spirit of Shamong in collaboration with Girl Scout Troop 24713. Net proceeds will support Girl Scout take action projects in Shamong.

Course and format
The 5K begins and finishes in the Indian Mills Memorial School parking lot. The published 5K route turns left onto Old Indian Mills Road, then left on Grassy Lake, left on Stokes Road, left on Oakshade, and returns via Old Indian Mills Road to the school parking lot. The 5K will be electronic chip timed with a combined start and finish line. Finisher medals for men and women will be awarded in these age groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Live online race results are provided. Thanksgiving pies will be awarded to the first male and first female finishers in each event.
The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk takes place on the school property circular driveway. Participants complete five laps, receive a popsicle stick for each lap, and turn in the sticks to receive a medal. All 1 Mile participants receive a participation medal.
Registration
Entry fees listed are $25 for the 5K and $15 for the 1 Mile; children age three and under are free. Sponsors at multiple levels support the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
