Sham Rock 5k Greencastle

The Sham Rock 5k Greencastle is the seventh annual Saint Patrick's Day 5k held in Greencastle, Indiana. The event begins and ends at Almost Home Restaurant located at 17 W Franklin Street in downtown Greencastle. The course routes through Downtown Greencastle and past DePauw.

Race features include custom bibs for all participants, a commemorative Sham Rock 5k t-shirt with a guaranteed cutoff date of March 4, 2026, and disposable chip timing. Registered finishers aged 21 and over are eligible to receive a finisher beer; photo identification is checked for alcohol distribution. Overall and age group awards are presented after the race.

Packet pickup is offered the evening before and on race morning at Almost Home Restaurant. Parking is available along downtown streets. The event supports the Greencastle Music Fest, a two day community music festival planned for August 2026.
