About the race
OPSF 50|50 is a trail running event in Owen-Putnam State Forest near Poland, IN, organized by the Indiana Trail Running Association. The event offers multiple distances on a 14-mile trail course that begins at Horse Campground and uses single track, horse trails and some fire road.

The course is described as a lollipop: a Start/Finish out-and-back section to Aid A and a loop from Aid A through Aid B and back. The trail is mostly single track with rolling hills and some challenging sections. The 50 mile and 50K competitors complete multiple laps of the lollipop layout and additional short loops as specified by the race. The 10K is a single loop trail run.
Aid stations are cupless; participants must carry the ability to hold 20 oz of water on their person at all times. Entry fees vary by distance, with listed prices ranging from $48.50 to $120.65 and multiple registration options noted; registration closes April 19.
Packet pick-up is available the evening before at Civilian Brewing Corps with same-day pick-up at the Start/Finish. Parking and shuttle arrangements differ by distance: 14 mile and 10K participants are shuttled from the Owen County Family YMCA, while 50 mile and 50K participants park at Horse Campground. Camping at Horse Campground is first-come and has a per night fee. Entrants registered by March 1 receive event swag; age group awards and finisher medals are given to finishers.
