- 1 mile family fun run/walk
The 5K is USATF certified and will use professional electronic chip timing provided by Wire2Wire. The course is described as relatively flat and follows riverfront streets. Costumes are encouraged. The 1 mile fun run is presented as a family activity and does not have awards.
Event features include age group awards with custom medals, overall and masters classifications, custom bibs, and short-sleeved event T-shirts. Race bibs must be worn on the front of the body and visible at the finish for proper timing.
Registration opens May 7 and closes September 24. Registrations received by September 10 are more likely to receive the requested T-shirt size. 5K base entry is $30 through September 20 and increases to $35 thereafter. 1 mile entry is $20 through September 20 and increases to $25 thereafter. A family fun-run rate and additional T-shirt purchase options are available.
Packet pickup is available before race day at a to-be-determined location and on race day at the event tent. Parking options and restroom facilities are noted near the start area. In hazardous weather the race may be changed or canceled; no refunds are offered. Post-race results will be posted by the timing provider.
