SF Half Day is a timed running event held at East Beach (East Bluff picnic area), 1199 East Beach, San Francisco, CA 94129. The event offers multiple solo and team competitions over set time periods.

The course is a USATF certified loop (CA18040RS). Each lap measures 1.0275 miles around the lagoon at Crissy Field. The surface is roughly 60% crushed material and 40% asphalt, and the first lap is run counterclockwise; runners may change direction at the start/finish mat at the end of each loop. Pacing is not allowed. Runners must complete each full lap within the event time limit to receive credit.
Timing and support Each lap is recorded with a bibtag timing chip and real-time lap splits are displayed on a screen at the start/finish. Fully stocked aid stations are placed every mile and provide fresh fruit, salty snacks, assorted candy, water, and Skratch electrolyte drink. The event operates a cupless policy; participants are asked to bring reusable, nonbreakable containers. Hydrapak SpeedCups are available for purchase at check-in.
Logistics and rules Parking at East Beach is free. No dogs are allowed on the course and personal camping tents are not permitted; canopy tents, tables, chairs, and coolers are acceptable. Portable toilets are located adjacent to the course.
Teams Teams of two to four members use a shared team bib on a race belt; each member must complete at least one lap and bib transfers are permitted only at the timing mat. Top teams receive medals and all teams receive a custom coaster with team name and distance completed.
Awards and items All participants receive a finisher's medal and a custom coaster with their name and distance. Midlayer fleece is provided to 12 hour individual entrants at check-in; other categories receive a hi-tech tee. Overall male and female winners in individual categories receive awards and race credits as listed by the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
