Seward Zombie Run
Seward Parks & Recreation presents a themed running event in Seward, Alaska, at 304 Sea Lion Ave. Participants wear flag football belts and pass through zombie zones where volunteers attempt to remove flags; lost flags add time penalties to the final time. A headlamp is required for all participants and will be provided by SPRD.

The event is organized in age-based waves with the following groups: 7 and under (Mini Kids Loop), 8-17, 18-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, and 60+. Bib pick-up is available in two locations: Friday, October 16 at AVTEC gym, 519 4th Ave (10:00 AM to 8:00 PM), and Saturday, October 17 at Seward Middle School, 304 Sea Lion Avenue (10:00 AM to 5:30 PM).
Registration details from the organizer list fees and deadlines. Fees include a registration charge for each distance. All registrants receive a 2026 Zombie Run sticker; registrations completed by September 17 receive a custom 2026 Wild Fjords Tours Zombie Run T-shirt, and early sign-ups receive an additional giveaway.
After the run there is a Zombie Runway walk where attendees can vote for a favorite zombie while results are calculated. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
