Seward Zombie Run
Seward Parks & Recreation hosts the Wild Fjord Tours Seward Zombie Run in Seward, Alaska. The event features participants wearing flag football belts and running a course that includes four "zombie zones" where volunteers acting as zombies can remove flags; each removed flag adds a time penalty to the final race time. All participants must wear a headlamp, which is provided by Seward Parks & Recreation.

The event uses six age-group waves and includes a mini kids loop for participants age 7 and under. After the run there is a Zombie Runway walk and an audience vote for a favorite zombie while organizers calculate results.
Registration details vary by event; fees listed by the organizer include $30.00 for the main Seward Zombie Run and $15.00 for the Seward Zombie Run - Kids Loop. Registration opens on August 18, 2026 and closes October 17, 2026; closing times differ by event.
All registrants receive a 2026 Zombie Run sticker. Registrants who register by September 17, 2026 receive a custom 2026 Wild Fjords Tours Zombie Run T-shirt. Bib pick-up is offered at two locations: AVTEC gym at 519 4th Ave, Seward, AK, and Seward Middle School at 304 Sea Lion Avenue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
