SEF Arts Fest 5K & Bubble-K Fun Run
The SEF Arts Fest is a community running event in Sherman, Texas on September 19, 2026, held at Piner Middle School, 402 W. Pecan. The event is described as the 21st annual edition and includes both timed and non-timed options for the 5K.

The 5K follows a city course beginning at the intersection of Rusk and Laurel Streets, continuing along King Street, Travis Street, Lake Street (past a water station), Crockett Street, and returning to King and Rusk for the finish. The 1K Fun Run starts and ends at the same location on a much shorter route. A bubble foam party is planned after the 1K.
Awards and participant items include cash prizes and medals for top 5K finishers, specific cash awards for overall and age-category masters, and awards for the top three in each age group. Age groups span from 9 and under through 80 and older. T-shirts are guaranteed for early registrants, and the first 250 registered 5K participants receive swag bags.
The event raises funds for the Sherman Education Foundation to support Sherman Independent School District programs. Since its inception in 1999, the foundation has raised more than $3 million for SISD students and teachers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
