Grinch Gallop
The Grinch Gallop is a chip timed 5K road race held in Van Alstyne, Texas on December 19, 2026. The course runs through country roads near 1455 W. Van Alstyne Pkwy. The event is listed with a registration fee of $42.00 and a registration period that opens April 26, 2026 and closes December 19, 2026.
All participants receive a Grinch finisher medal, a race shirt and a Grinch donut. Awards are given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female in the overall and masters categories. Age group awards are awarded three deep for these groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 & over.
Packet pickup is at Buff City Soap - Van Alstyne, 136 N. Main Drive, Van Alstyne, TX 75495. The pickup time and date are listed as TBD; there will be limited race day packet pickup and a friend or family member may collect a packet on a participant's behalf.
The event is offered as part of a Holiday Bundle called The Epic Race Trilogy that groups this race with the Celina Turkey Trot and the Resolution Run. Bundle registration must be completed before the Celina Turkey Trot to qualify for bundle benefits. Bundle entrants receive a custom wooden running shoe plaque showing total 2026 race mileage, with plaques available for pickup at the Resolution Run on January 1, 2027.
