The Grinch Gallop is a chip timed 5K road race held in Van Alstyne, Texas on December 19, 2026. The course runs on country roads in and around Van Alstyne. The published registration fee is $42.00.
All participants receive a Grinch finisher medal, a race shirt and a grinch donut. Competitive results are chip timed to allow awarding of finishing positions. Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female are planned for the overall and masters categories. Age group awards, three deep, are listed for the following groups: 14 & under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70 & over.
Packet pickup is at Buff City Soap - Van Alstyne, 136 N. Main Drive, Van Alstyne, TX 75495. The pickup time and date are to be determined. There will be limited race day packet pickup, and a friend or family member may collect a packet on behalf of a participant. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
