SEED School of MD Run-Up-To Juneteenth 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk
The event is the fifth annual Run Up to Juneteenth, set for June 14, 2026 in Druid Hill Park, Baltimore. It serves as the official kick off to AFRAM's 50th Anniversary and returns the race to AFRAM's original routes to honor the legacy of community runs tied to the festival. The event supports SEED students on their journey to college.
The program includes in person and virtual options and a costume element that recalls AFRAM's 1976 beginnings. Organizers will award a prize for the Best 1976 Throwback Outfit and encourage retro attire such as tube socks, headbands, and short shorts.
