Event overview
The Secret Santa Festive Trail Series takes place on Saturday 6th December 2025 in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The event is based at Cwmdu Village Hall, Powys (near Crickhowell) and runs on mountain trails in the Black Mountains. Routes follow sections of the Beacons Way and include rocky paths, boggy moorland, narrow single-track trails and some forest sections. The event is canicross friendly; dogs must be kept on leads.

Reported elevation gains for the main distances are approximately: 14 km - 2,047 ft; 10 miles - 2,588 ft; half marathon - 3,435 ft. All distances have an 8 hour cut-off. Courses are fully marked and back-runner support is provided. Checkpoints are described as well stocked with food and drink options including vegan choices.
Facilities and services include toilets, refreshments, a full medical team, parking (fee applies), online results and a full gallery of pictures. Mandatory kit is required: waterproof jacket and trousers, race vest, capacity to carry 1 litre of fluid, food, telephone, hat and gloves, appropriate trail footwear, first aid kit, foil blanket and whistle. There is a nearby basic camping field with toilets. Prizes include a bespoke medal and hand-crafted Welsh slate trophies for top finishers. GPX route files are available for the courses.
