10th Annual Second Chance 5K Run/Walk
The 10th Annual Second Chance 5K Run/Walk takes place in St. Michael, Pennsylvania at the Berwind-Wayside Festival Grounds and is organized by Second Chance Fundraising. The event is dedicated to the second chance at life provided by organ donation. Funds raised will support awareness initiatives for organ, tissue, and cornea donation in the Western Pennsylvania region.
Registration is $25 for participants 18 and older; participants 17 and younger may register free. Early registration includes a race t-shirt and ends July 12. Additional race t-shirts will be available for purchase online or at the event for $15.
Awards and participant benefits include medals for the top three finishers in each category and a gift bag for all runners. The event program also features randomly awarded Visa gift cards totaling $500, additional door prizes, 50/50 raffles, and a basket raffle running during the event. Food, drinks, and snacks will be available for purchase, with offerings from Rayne's Backyard BBQ. The event includes post-race activities and prize drawings connected to the fundraising purpose.
