The Sean Joyce Foundation 2026 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk
The event takes place October 17, 2026 in Holbrook, MA at 245 South Franklin Street as part of Holbrook's Homecoming festivities. It is the annual 5K road race and 1 mile walk organized to raise funds for scholarships and to honor the memory of Sean Joyce.

The course is two laps around a loop beginning and ending at the track at Holbrook Middle-High School near Seanie's Snack Shack. The route goes through the St. Joseph's parking lot, around the paths at the Sean Joyce Athletic Field and Sumner Field, and returns around the school. The course is well marked, does not go on active streets, and will have a medical tent at the school plus several water stations. Strollers, bikes and other wheeled devices are not allowed on the 5K course; strollers are allowed on the one mile walk.
Registration pricing listed in the event materials includes a standard 5K fee and tiered fees for younger participants plus a separate fee for the one mile walk. A post-event breakfast buffet is offered across the street at The Brook Kitchen and Tap for an additional fee per person. The virtual option lets participants complete a 5K or 1 mile walk any time through the end of October and share completion photos on the event Facebook page.
