The Sean Joyce Foundation 2026 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk
The event takes place on October 17, 2026 at 245 South Franklin Street, Holbrook, MA, and is held alongside Holbrook's Homecoming festivities. It is an annual fundraiser that supports scholarships and community activities connected with the Sean Joyce Foundation. Over time the foundation has contributed to construction of a baseball and soccer field with a walking track and has awarded more than one hundred thousand dollars in scholarships to local students.

The 5K course consists of two laps around a loop that begins and ends at the high school track. The route passes through the St. Joseph's parking lot, around the path at the athletic and Sumner fields, and returns around the school. The course is well marked, does not use active streets, and will have a medical tent at the high school plus several water stations. Strollers, bikes, and wheeled devices are not allowed on the 5K course; strollers are allowed on the one mile walk. A virtual option lets participants complete a 5K or 1 mile walk on a self-chosen course through the end of October. A post-event breakfast buffet is available for an additional fee.
