This is a memorial running and race-walking event held on 2026-11-07 at 499 Front Beach Drive, Ocean Springs, MS. The program includes a 5K race with a race-walk category and a separate 1 mile event for children aged 12 and under.

Registration opens 2026-08-03 and closes 2026-11-05. Standard entry fees listed are $22 for the 5K and $15 for the 1 mile kids event; a discounted 5K fee of $20 applies to Gulf Coast Running Club members. A higher fee of $25 applies for late registration the morning of the event. T-shirts are available while supplies last.
The adult 1 mile carries prize money for the top three male and female finishers: $75 for first, $50 for second, and $25 for third. The 5K includes awards for the usual divisions. Race-walking entrants must follow USATF race walking guidelines, which require maintained contact with the ground and a straightened leading leg from contact until it passes under the body.
Both courses are USATF certified and eligible for state records (1 mile: MS21001MS; 5K: MS20004MS). Proceeds benefit a citizen soldier nursing scholarship organized as a 501(c)(3). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
