Event

The Seahawks 5k is a cross country race hosted by the Sunlake High School Cross Country Team. The course is on the school campus and consists of a mix of grass and road surfaces. The final quarter-mile of the race finishes on a stadium track.

Race Features

New in 2026, the event will use chip timing and has expanded age group categories.

The event includes a special challenge to beat course records: the male record of 15:14 or the female record of 18:44. The runner who breaks either record receives a lifetime of free registrations for future Seahawks 5k events and their name will be featured on race flyers and t-shirts.

Registration & Pricing

Regular adult registration is priced at $25 until July 31, then increases to $35 from August 1. Race-day registration is available for $40. Dri-fit t-shirts are provided to participants who register by July 31.

Teams from high school, middle school, and college can register for a discounted rate of $100 for up to 10 runners, with an additional $10 per runner beyond that limit. Team registration does not include t-shirts.

Awards

Awards are given for the Overall Male and Overall Female finishers, and for the Fastest Boys Team and Fastest Girls Team. The top three finishers in each standard age group, from 10 & under to 70 & over, also receive awards.
