Event overview
The Sunlake High School Cross Country Team will host the 3rd Annual Seahawks 5k on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Sunlake High School in Land O Lakes, FL. The course is a campus loop with a mix of grass and road surfaces and a final quarter-mile finish on the stadium track. The race distance is 5 km.
The event includes a performance challenge to beat the Pasco County male record of 15:14 or the female course record of 18:44. Chip-timing and additional age-group categories are new for 2026.
Registration, fees and awards
Registration opens May 1, 2026. Pre-registration by July 31 is $25, the price increases to $35 on August 1, and race-day registration is available for $40. Dri-fit t-shirts are provided to those who register by July 31. High school, middle school, and college teams may enter at a discounted rate of $100 for up to 10 runners (no t-shirts); each additional runner over 10 is $10.
Awards include Overall Male and Overall Female, Fastest Boys Team, and Fastest Girls Team. The top three finishers in each age group will be recognized; age groups run from 10 & under up through 70 & over in standard brackets. Donations will support the team’s uniforms, travel, and training equipment. Packet pick-up is Friday, August 7, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM at runFIT, 18841 FL-54, Lutz, FL 33558.
