Seahawks 5k
The Seahawks 5K is held at Sunlake High School in Land O' Lakes, Florida. The course mixes grass and road surfaces and finishes with a final quarter mile on the stadium track. The layout follows a cross country format and is intended for spectators to view the track finish.
The event includes chip timing and expanded age groups for 2026. Awards are given to the overall male and overall female finishers, to the fastest boys team and fastest girls team based on top five cross country scoring, and to the top three finishers in each age group: 10 and under, 11-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
Team entries are offered at a discounted rate of $10 per runner; teams are separated by gender and team shirts are not included. Registration pricing follows scheduled increases: pre-registration by June 30 is $25, increases to $35 on July 1, then $40 on August 1, with a higher race-day fee. Dri-fit t-shirts are guaranteed for those who register by July 31. Packet pick-up is available the day before the event at the school track and on race morning.
Additional features include a mascot sprint before the 5K, a raffle with donated prizes, and an option to donate to support the team's uniforms, travel, and equipment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
