Seahawks 5K at Sunlake High School
The Seahawks 5K is a cross country style race on the Sunlake High School campus that uses mixed grass and road surfaces and finishes with a final quarter mile on the stadium track. The event includes individual entries and a team entry option with teams separated by gender. The course features a combination of campus terrain and a visible stadium finish for spectators.
The event features the Colby Robbins Challenge with target benchmark times: the Pasco County cross country record of 15:14 for men and a female course record of 18:44. Runners who break one of these records will receive lifetime free registration to future Seahawks 5K races and have their name included on future race materials.
Changes for 2026 include chip timing and expanded age groups. Registration opens May 1, 2026. Pre-registration by June 30, 2026 is $25; the fee increases to $35 on July 1, to $40 on August 1, and race-day registration is $45. Team runners register at a discounted rate of $10 per runner; teams do not receive t-shirts. Dri-fit t-shirts are guaranteed for registrants who sign up by July 31.
Awards are given to overall male and female winners, fastest boys team and fastest girls team based on top five average times, and the top three in each age group from 10 and under through 70 and over. Packet pick-up is available the day before at the Sunlake High School track and the morning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
