The Sunlake High School Cross Country Team will host the 3rd Annual Seahawks 5k Run on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Land O Lakes, Florida. The course is on the school campus and is a mix of grass and road, with the final quarter mile on the stadium track. The event will use chip-timing and includes expanded age groups for 2026. The distance is 5 km.
Registration, awards and logistics
Registration opens May 1, 2026. Pre-registration by July 31 is $25, the price increases to $35 on August 1, and race-day registration is $40. Dri-fit t-shirts are provided to those who register by July 31. High school, middle school, and college teams may register at a discounted rate of $100 for up to 10 runners (no t-shirts); additional runners are $10 each. Awards include Overall Male and Overall Female, Fastest Boys Team, Fastest Girls Team, and top three finishers in these age groups: 10 & under, 11-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & Over. Packet pick-up is Friday, August 7, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM at runFIT, 18841 FL-54, Lutz, FL 33558.
