Sea Girt 5K & Kids' Races - 2026
The event is a 5 km run, walk, or roll through the town of Sea Girt, New Jersey. It is described as a summer tradition at the Jersey Shore. The event includes a separate program for children with short sprints (from 25 to 400 yards) organized by age group, as well as activities such as inflatables, pony rides, and face painting.
Participants in the 5K receive a custom t-shirt, a race bib with chip timing, and a finisher medal. Live music is featured on the course, and there is an after-party. Registration for the 5K has an early bird price of $33 until May 1, increasing to $38 afterward.
The children's races and activities have a separate registration with an early bird price of $12 until May 1, increasing to $15. These races are not timed, and no prizes are awarded, but they include a t-shirt and a goody bag. Race bibs for the 5K are mailed to participants who register by July 10.
The event supports two beneficiaries: Sea Girt Recreation and The Jersey Shore Dream Center, which provides community programs including hunger relief.
