Sea Girt 5K and Kids' Races 2026
The Sea Girt 5K and Kids' Races is scheduled in Sea Girt, New Jersey on August 1, 2026. The main event is a 5K run/walk/roll that includes chip timing, a custom t-shirt, a finisher medal and live music along the course. An after-party follows the main event.
The program also features kids races and activities. Kids races are short sprints that are not timed and have no prizes; they include a t-shirt and a goody bag. Kids activities include inflatables, pony rides, face painting and other family offerings.
Distances for kids races by age group:
- 2 to 3 years: 25 yards
- 4 to 5 years: 50 yards
- 6 to 7 years: 100 yards
- 8 to 9 years: 150 yards
- 10 to 12 years: 400 yards
Registration opens March 1 and early bird pricing applies through May 1. Early bird fees listed are $33 for the 5K and $12 for kids races, with higher fees after May 1. Race bibs will be mailed to registrants who register by July 10, with an initial mailout around June 15. T-shirt pickup is handled at tents by the Sea Girt Library at 801 The Plaza.
The event benefits Sea Girt Recreation and the Jersey Shore Dream Center. The Jersey Shore Dream Center provides hunger relief, essential baby supplies and community programs.
