Sea Girt 5K
The 35th Annual Sea Girt 5K takes place on August 1, 2026 and is limited to 3,500 participants. The event benefits Sea Girt Recreation and the Jersey Shore Dream Center, which provides hunger relief, essential baby supplies and community programs to individuals and families in need.
Race day offerings include a chip-timed 5K with a custom t-shirt and a finisher medal, live music on course and an after-party. Kids' races consist of short sprints by age group and are not timed; they include a t-shirt and a goody bag. Family-focused activities on site feature inflatables, pony rides, face painting and additional attractions.
Registration pricing noted by the organizer includes early bird entry at $33 through May 1 and $38 thereafter. Kids' race fees are $12 through May 1 and $15 after. Race bibs will be mailed if registration is completed by July 10, with the first mailout around June 15; kids' race bibs must be picked up with the t-shirt. T-shirt and late-registration bib pickup is handled at tents by the Sea Girt Library.
The event is held rain or shine and will only be postponed if weather presents a danger, such as lightning or a hurricane. No refunds, transfers, credits or exchanges are offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
