About the race
Run Aintree takes place on 13 December 2026 at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool and supports the University Hospitals of Liverpool Charity. The event offers three distances: Half Marathon, 10k and 5k.
The course uses the racecourse circuit and is on road terrain. The layout is flat and involves laps around the circuit: the 5k is one lap, the 10k is two laps and the Half Marathon is four laps. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals are positioned around the course to guide and encourage competitors.
Entries include a themed medal, water, free race photos, chip timed results and post race goodies. An event village provides food and drink options and free items from partners at the finish area. An event t shirt is available at a discounted price when bought as part of the entry checkout, with the event logo printed on the chest.
