Run Aintree Half Marathon, 10k & 5k
The Run Aintree event takes place at the famous Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, the historic home of the Grand National steeplechase. The competition is held on a flat road surface within the racecourse grounds, utilizing a lap-based format. This event supports the University Hospitals of Liverpool Charity.
Participants can choose from three different distances:
- 5 km: A 1-lap course with 19m of elevation.
- 10 km: A 2-lap course with 38m of elevation.
- Half Marathon: An out-and-back section followed by 4 laps, with 76m of elevation.
The course features distance flags at every kilometer and mile markers to assist runners with their pacing. The event includes a chip-timing system to provide accurate results for all participants. An event village is located on-site, offering various food and drink options as well as products from partner organizations.
Registration includes free race photos, a unique themed medal, water, and post-race refreshments. Protective marshals are stationed throughout the circuit to provide guidance.
