Event overview
The Scurry Around the Helix is the third running of a two-race event at Helix Park, Falkirk, on 25 April 2026. The event comprises a 10km race and a 1 mile fun run (listed as 1.5km in the organiser details). Pre-race information including a race briefing will be emailed to entrants the week before the event.

The 10km course is mainly tarmac or hard packed and relatively flat, with about 75 ft of total ascent and descent. The route starts in Helix Park, passes the Kelpies, runs around Cobblebrae community woodland and skirts the River Carron before returning to the Helix Great Lawn. The 1 mile fun run follows a clockwise circuit around the Helix Lawn and Helix Lagoon.
Entry notes and race services: the 10km has a minimum age of 15 years on race day and limited entries; the fun run has no age restrictions and adults accompanying young children do not need to pay. The 10km will be chip timed; the fun run will not be timed. Prizes are awarded for the 10km only. All 10km finishers receive a race medal and memento; fun run participants receive a fun run medal and snacks.
Safety and facilities: routes are signposted with marshals at key junctions. First aid will be available at start and finish areas. The main car park is at Forth Valley College, about a 15 minute walk to the start/finish. Toilets are available at the Helix café area and portable units.
