Kirkintilloch 10k

This club-organised 10 km road race follows a largely flat course beside the Forth and Clyde Canal in Kirkintilloch. The route begins on Northbank Avenue and joins the canal towpath near Townhead Bridge, continues along the north bank to Cadder Bridge at the 5 km mark, then leaves the towpath to run a pavement loop that returns at Hungryside Bridge around 7 km. The finish is on the towpath behind St Ninian's High School. The start is about 600 m from the school.

The event is chip timed and chips are distributed with race numbers at registration and number pick-up at St Ninian's High School. The field is limited to 350 runners. Entry fees differ by membership category and an on-the-day entry surcharge applies if places remain available. Prizes include cash for the first three male and female finishers, age-group prize vouchers, and first team prizes for male and female teams; prizes are posted after the race. Results will be posted on the club website, the Scottish Athletics website, and with the Power of 10. The race is held under UKA Rules and is a scottishathletics licensed event.
