Event Overview
The Kirkintilloch 10k is a club-organised race that takes place on a largely flat course. The event is open to participants of all abilities and is held under UKA Rules as a scottishathletics licensed event. The main race is limited to 350 runners and utilizes chip timing for results.
Course Details
The race begins at Northbank Avenue and moves toward Townhead Bridge. Within the first kilometer, the route joins the north bank towpath of the Forth and Clyde Canal. Participants follow the towpath to Cadder Bridge, marking the 5 km point. The course then leaves the towpath to complete a loop on public pavements before returning to the canal at Hungryside Bridge at the 7 km mark. The finish line is located on the towpath behind St Ninian's High School.

- 10 km main race for adults and various abilities.
- 2 km junior race held on a flat, marshalled course.
Logistics and Prizes
Registration and number collection, including timing chips, occur at St Ninian's High School in Kirkintilloch. The race start line is situated approximately 600 meters from the school premises. Prizes include cash awards for the first, second, and third male and female finishers, alongside age group vouchers and team prizes.
