About the race
Scrimshire's Scramble is a community led trail run centred on North Leverton Windmill, returning for its third year on 28 February 2027. The event is an off road course of approximately 10k with the start and finish at the windmill. The route is about 99% off road, fully way marked and offers views over South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and North Lincolnshire.
Organisers aim to encourage local participation and to create a welcoming, encouraging running atmosphere. The minimum age to participate is 16 years.
Entry for 2027 is set at £19 per entrant. All admission fees are donated to the North Leverton Windmill Trust (trust no. 1127200), the host for the event.
Finishers can expect a loot bag that includes freshly milled flour from the windmill and a jar of local honey. The organisers plan to provide either a medal or a surprise memento for finishers if possible. Finish line photography will be available free of charge.
The event is described as an off road trail course that presents a tough yet achievable challenge and rewards participants with rural scenery around the windmill site.
