Scrimshire's Scramble 2027
Scrimshire's Scramble takes place on Sunday 28 March 2027 at North Leverton Windmill in North Leverton with Habblesthorpe, Retford, Nottinghamshire DN22 0BA. The event is organised and run by the North Leverton Windmill Trust as a not for profit event, with proceeds going to the Trust.
The course is a muddy, multi terrain trail of about 10K, described as undulating and hilly, and it follows footpaths and fields with views across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and North Lincolnshire. Participants may walk, jog, run or scramble the route. The event was previously held in 2025 and 2026.
Practical details published for the event include a maximum of 170 entrants, a minimum age of 16 years, and an entry fee of £19.00. Entries close 21/02/2027. Transfers are permitted. No deferrals or refunds are offered.
Finishers receive a small pack containing locally milled bread flour, a sustainably designed medal, and a jar of very local honey. The event also aims to attract visitors to the Windmill and to raise funds for maintenance of the 213 year old corn mill that mills wheat on site.
