Event details

Scrimshire's Scramble takes place on Sunday, 1 March 2026. The event distance is 10K (approximately 10.5 km). Entry is limited to a maximum of 170 participants. Entries close on 22/02/2026. The minimum age is 16 years. The entry fee is £19.00. Transfers are permitted up to 22/02/2026. No deferrals or refunds are offered. The event is run on a not-for-profit basis by volunteers to raise funds and donations to support North Leverton Windmill Trust and help maintain the 212-year-old corn mill.

Course and race kit

The start and finish are at North Leverton Windmill, Mill Lane, North Leverton with Habblesthorpe, Retford, Nottinghamshire DN22 0BA. The route is an off-road trail that uses local country lanes, byways and public footpaths. Terrain includes soft, muddy sections and some firmer lanes. The course offers views over South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and North Lincolnshire. All finishers receive a bag of bread flour milled at the windmill, a sustainably designed medal, and a jar of local honey. Entries remaining at the time of the listing: 92.
