Scrimshire's Scramble at North Leverton Windmill - 1 March 2026
Scrimshire's Scramble is a community-led trail run held for a second year at North Leverton Windmill. The event is organised by volunteers as a not-for-profit activity to bring visitors to the windmill and to raise funds through donations and entry fees for the upkeep of the 212 year old corn mill.
The advertised distance is 10K (noted as nearer 10.5K) on an undulating, multi-terrain route. The course uses green lanes, byways and public footpaths through fields, with a mixture of soft, muddy underfoot sections and some firmer, hard-standing lanes. The route offers views over South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and North Lincolnshire, with the start and finish located at North Leverton Windmill.
All finishers receive a bag of bread flour milled at the windmill, a sustainably designed medal and a jar of local honey. Entrant limits and conditions are set: maximum entrants 170, minimum age 16 years, and entries close on 22/02/2026. Transfers are permitted up to 22/02/2026; there are no deferrals or refunds. The event is reported as full for this edition. By entering, participants accept the organiser's terms and conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
