About the Event
The Scribners Mill 5k is part of the Loon Echo Trail Race Series. All proceeds from the series benefit the Loon Echo Land Trust, a Bridgton-based nonprofit that conserves land, protects public access to the outdoors, and builds and maintains trails in Maine's Lakes Region.
The Race
This event is a 5k trail race. Organizers describe it as a good introduction to trail running. The course takes participants to the historic Crooked River to explore the raw trails of the Crooked River Forest. It features freshly cut trails, tall red pines, and scenic river views.
The race starts and finishes at Scribner's Mill, a historic sawmill and homestead located on the Crooked River in Harrison, Maine.
Registration
Registration is handled through UltraSignup. The entry fee for this race is $25. Walk-in registrations are accepted on race day, but payment must be made by cash or Venmo only.
Bib pickup is available on race morning from 7:00 to 8:45 am.
Race Series Perks
Signing up for one race in the series provides a $5 discount coupon for another race in the same series. Participants who register for any three races in the series receive a series sweatshirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
