Scribner's Mill / Crooked River 5k
The Scribner's Mill 5k is part of the Loon Echo Race Series and benefits Loon Echo Land Trust, a Bridgton-based nonprofit that conserves land, protects public access to the outdoors, and builds and maintains trails in the Lakes Region.
This race follows raw trails through the Crooked River Forest and runs down to the Crooked River. The route includes freshly cut sections lined with tall red pines and offers scenic river views. The course starts and finishes at Scribner's Mill, a historic sawmill and homestead located on the Crooked River in Harrison, Maine.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, July 26, 2026. Registration is handled through UltraSignup. Walk-in registrations are accepted on race morning and are cash or Venmo only. The listed entry price is $25.
As an entry-level trail distance, the 5k gives participants an opportunity to run on conserved land and support local land access through the series' proceeds.
