About the race
The Scores Summer Series for Scholarships is an eight-week, "Old School" race series held weekly from June 16 to August 11, 2027, at Wheelock Park in Keene, New Hampshire. The series supports scholarship funding for area high school students who plan to run collegiately. Each race uses a flat, 2.8-mile out and back loop with twists and a circular section. The course starts near the pavilion and the starting line is near the tennis courts.
Registration is held in the pavilion; on-location registration is available on race day. Participants receive a finish time and light refreshments after the race. Entry fees are $10 per event or $50 for the full eight-week series. Student pricing is half price: $5 per event or $25 for the entire series.
The organizer does not permit cancellations; entries are considered a tax-deductible donation. The series is conducted in rain or shine but will not run during lightning or thunder conditions. The event is described as judgement free, and past participants have ranged from beginning walkers to sub-5-minute milers. Runners who complete and finish at least six of the eight events qualify to receive a commemorative T-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
