Scilly60 September 2027
Scilly60 is a 60 km multi island coastal trail race held in the Isles of Scilly on Sunday 26 September 2027. Competitors run the coast paths of all five inhabited islands : St Marys, St Martins, Tresco, Bryher, and St Agnes : and return to St Marys for the final 5 km to the finish. The course aims to cover every metre of coast path on each island.
The event is strictly limited to 150 participants and the published entry fee is £210. The organiser operates two boats, each holding 75 runners for Scilly60 and Scilly42, and coordinates tidal and logistical transfers between islands.
The route is heavily marked with over 2000 flags. Terrain includes continuous undulation, rocky sections, sand, sea spray, and technical coastal paths that require sustained attention. Cut off calculations use a pace of 7:30 min per km. The race is self sufficient: runners must carry their own supplies for each stage, start with at least 3 litres of water, and there are no energy stations en route. Toilets are available on each quay and registration takes place near the Gig Shed Café.
