About the race
Schuylkill River Greenways organizes a community walk and run on October 10, 2026, at Pottstown Riverfront Park (140 College Dr., Pottstown, PA 19464). The event offers three route options on sections of the Schuylkill River Trail and raises funds for the Schuylkill River Trail Stewardship Fund to support trail maintenance and repairs.
Routes and key features:
- 5K on paved trail, starts and ends at Pottstown Riverfront Park, turns before Old Reading Pike, no road crossings.
- 10 Mile course on paved and crushed gravel sections, crosses the Douglassville Bridge and includes supported road crossings.
- Family Fun Loop just under a mile, paved and crushed gravel, stroller friendly, pets not allowed, registration covers one adult plus two children under 12.
Registration opens May 15, 2026 and closes October 2, 2026. Fees listed by the organizer include $35 for the 5K, $45 for the 10 mile, and $20 for the Family Fun Loop. Packet pick-up is available the morning of the event at Pottstown Riverfront Park or at the SRG office on Friday, October 9. Water stops will be provided along routes and a finish line celebration with food and drinks follows the event. Registrations for the 5K and 10 mile include a commemorative SRT beanie.
