Schoolhouse Rocks 5K, Fun Run & Festival : Menlo Park, CA
The Schoolhouse Rocks event on May 17, 2026, is presented by MPAEF to support Menlo Park City School District schools. The community event brings together more than 1,500 participants for running, walking, jogging, or strolling and includes a free post race festival with bouncy houses, a climbing wall, games, music, and food trucks.

The courses follow an out-and-back route that starts at Hillview Middle School and runs through the neighborhood along Olive Street and Bay Laurel Drive. The 1 Mile route turns around between Oakdell Drive and Middle Avenue; the 5K route turns around at the end of Arbor Road.
Registration includes early bird and standard pricing windows with specified dates and fees. There is no day-of-event registration. For safety, children under age 11 must be accompanied on the course by a registered adult. Strollers are allowed; other wheeled devices are discouraged. Pets should not be registered and may join for free. All race registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Packet pick-up is available at Fleet Feet, 859 Santa Cruz Avenue, on the days prior to the event; t-shirt sizes are available first come, first served. Family Sponsor packets may be delivered to homes the Friday before the event. At packet pick-up, payment requires a mobile device and a credit card; some payment methods are not accepted.
Awards for 5K finishers include top male and top female overall plus 1st through 3rd place male and female in the specified age brackets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
