Scenic City Scorcher : Chattanooga Track Club
The Scenic City Scorcher is a certified 2 mile race held on July 18, 2026, on Chattanooga's North Shore. The Race Village is at 555 River Street near the intersection with Fehn Street; that area will serve as the zone for race day entries, packet pickup, refreshments, and awards. The course is an out and back that starts and finishes on River Street, enters the Heritage Landing neighborhood for a loop, and returns to River Street for the finish. Heritage Landing is a gated community and access is permitted only for the event.
The event includes a team competition. Teams must be added to the registration system in advance; top five scorers on each team determine the team result. Adult team categories include Men, Women, and Mixed when entries permit; Youth teams are scored as Mixed only. Teams that include any participant over age 18 are scored in Adult categories.
Early packet pickup is available the day before at the Chattanooga Track Club office at 1014 Dallas Road, Suite 101. Individual online registration is available through race day. Pricing tiers are listed as Early Bird and as rates effective July 5: Early Bird - 18 and under $15, 19 and older $25; July 5 rates - 18 and under $25, 19 and older $35. Additional event shirts may be sold on the day for $12 while supplies last; shirt orders are placed on July 6.
Awards are planned for overall Male and Female and age categories including Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+), and Senior Grand Masters (60+). Age group awards are given for two top finishers across standard age brackets. Overall awards use gun time for top finishers; other places use chip time. Parking options include a Republic lot adjacent to Outdoor Chattanooga and available on-street parking.
