The Scary Scamper is the sixth annual Halloween themed community run hosted at the LILA Headwaters campus in Forest Lake, Minnesota. The event offers timed running opportunities on a course that starts and ends at the campus and winds through a safe, scenic neighborhood.

The course is described as flat and will use a professional timing service with race bibs, age group rankings, and awards. A photo finish is available. Event registration includes a race bib and timing service; apparel options listed for 2026 include a super soft long sleeve tee and a relaxed hooded sweatshirt upgrade. SWAG is only guaranteed for registrations completed on or before Oct 13th, and a tee-shirt guarantee period is noted through Oct 12th.
On-site offerings include food trucks for purchase, Trunk or Treat, and free kid friendly activities. Extended parking is available at the government center near the Forest Lake YMCA, approximately a 10 to 15 minute walk from the venue.
