Scarecrow Shuffle 5K in Carlisle
The Scarecrow Shuffle 5K takes place Saturday, September 26, 2026, in downtown Carlisle, Kentucky, at 368 E Main St. The event is organized by the Paris-Bourbon County YMCA, the Nicholas County YMCA, and the Nicholas County Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds benefit the Nicholas County Chamber of Commerce.
Event options include:
- 5K Run/Walk on paved roads, chip timed.
- Fastest Kid in Town for children 12 and under.
- Virtual 5K run or walk from any location.
The in-person 5K is chip timed and held on paved surfaces. Awards will be presented to Overall Top Male and Female finishers and to the top three Male and Female finishers in each age group. Participants who register by August 31, 2026, receive a commemorative race T-shirt. Virtual participants receive a commemorative race T-shirt as part of their registration. Registration opens June 12, 2026, and closes September 26, 2026. Listed registration fees include $30 for the in-person 5K, $25 for the virtual 5K, and no fee for the kids race. Entering the discount code Scare26 at checkout reduces the fee by $5 through August 15, 2026.
