Patriotic Run in Paris, Kentucky
The Tour de Paris 5K takes place in the heart of downtown Paris, Kentucky. The event features a 5 km course that participants can choose to run or walk. The route begins and ends at the local Eiffel Tower landmark, guiding participants through various community sights. Along the way, the path passes Secretariat Park, Stoner Creek, historic residential areas, and various locally owned shops in the downtown district.
The event includes a patriotic theme in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Participants are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue clothing to reflect this theme. Following the conclusion of the event, attendees can access food and beverages from downtown businesses or visit the Paris-Bourbon County Farmers Market located next to the finish line.
The race recognizes participants across several categories:
- 5K Run/Walk (Open to ages 4 and older)
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, who receive an Eiffel Tower Trophy. Plaques are also awarded to winners within specific age groups ranging from 14 and under to 70 and over.
