Event Overview
The Blackberry Festival 5K is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026. It is held in downtown Carlisle, Kentucky, starting at the Nicholas County Courthouse.
Events
Participants can choose from three event formats:
- A 5K run/walk.
- A Fastest Kid in Town race for children aged 12 and under.
- A virtual runner/walker option.
Event Features
Registered participants receive commemorative T-shirts, chip timing, and free race photos. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and the top two male and female finishers in standard 10-year age groups. The event includes food, music, and is part of the wider Carlisle Blackberry Festival.
The Fastest Kid in Town event is free for children aged 12 and under, who all receive a participation medal. It features preliminary races by age category, culminating in a final race for all age-group winners.
Additional Information
Packet pickup is available on the morning of the race at the start location in downtown Carlisle from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM. Registration for the 5K run/walk costs $20, though this price increases after February 28, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
