Scarecrow Scrambler
The Scarecrow Scrambler is a community 5K held on October 31, 2026. The course begins and ends at the Jefferson Civic Center, 65 Kissam Street, a short walk from downtown Jefferson. The event follows a Yellow Brick Road theme inspired by the Wonderful Wizard of Oz and covers a distance of 3.1 Miles.
Costumes are encouraged, with prizes awarded for the best costumes and the best themed costume. Age group winners receive medals. The race is hosted by Jefferson Kiwanis Club and Unity Masonic Lodge and serves as a fundraiser for local community projects such as the Kiwanis Literacy Launch and the Masonic Children’s Home.
