Scarecrow Fun Run

Scarecrow Fun Run - Nibley City

The Scarecrow Fun Run is a harvest themed family fitness event hosted by Nibley City at Heritage Park. The program combines free short runs for children with timed distance events and a two-person relay.

Distances and free youth runs include:

• 100 Yard Dash for children 4 and under
• 1/4 Mile for children 8 and under
• 1/2 Mile for children 12 and under
• 1 Mile run/walk open to all ages
• 5K
• 10K
• 10K Relay for two-person teams

The 5K and 10K are described as well marked, mostly flat courses with professional timing, a Tech T-shirt, and official finish-line results. Prizes are awarded to the top three in age divisions and overall top finishers, with separate male and female divisions and additional relay team awards. An Adaptive Roll Division provides ADA accessible routes and prizes for top finishers.

Creative categories include Funnest Pair and Stroller Racer, judged for style and form. Dogs are not allowed due to on-course scarecrow startle experiences. Relay logistics note an exchange point at a gravel parking lot on 640 West with shuttle arrangements for the second runner, and optional vehicle drop off or continuation of running by the first runner.
