Scarecrow Fun Run
The Scarecrow Fun Run is a harvest-themed family fitness event in Nibley City that includes free children’s runs and timed road races with professional timing and finish line results. The event offers multiple route options, routes are published, and the course is described as well marked and relatively flat.
Along parts of the course participants will encounter scarecrows that may jump out and startle runners. The event includes creative categories with judged awards, prizes for top finishers in age divisions, and raffle prizes from local businesses. There is an Adaptive Roll division with accessible routes for frame runners and wheelchairs.
The event format and features include:
- 100 Yard Dash for children 4 and under
- 1/4 Mile Run for children 8 and under
- 1/2 Mile Run for children 12 and under
- 1 Mile Run/Walk open to all ages
- 5K
- 10K
- 10K Relay two-person teams
Additional creative categories include Funnest Pair and Stroller Racer. Dogs are not permitted in these runs due to the startle elements on course. Packet pick-up and race operations are centered at Heritage Park, Nibley, Utah. The event is presented with support from local partners and community sponsors.
