Crossover Half
The Crossover Half takes place in Paradise, Utah, featuring a course that bridges road running and trail terrain. The event is held at the Little Bear River Retreat in Cache Valley, offering participants a route consisting primarily of gravel and dirt country roads with some paved sections.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 13.1 miles
- 4 miles
The 13.1 mile distance follows an out-and-back route. The first five miles consist of a gradual climb on rural roads. Between miles five and six, runners encounter a steeper ascent known as the crossover hill before reaching a short descent and the turnaround point. The return leg requires runners to climb the hill once more in reverse before finishing with a gradual descent.
Aid stations are located at approximately miles 2.2, 4.2, 5.2, 6.2, 7, 9, and 11, as well as at the finish line. These stations provide hydration, portable toilets, and volunteer support. The event utilizes chip timing for all finishers.
Awards are presented to the top five male and female finishers, and recognition is provided for various age groups. Every participant receives a finisher medal. The venue at Little Bear River Retreat offers various amenities, including pre-race campfires and lawn games. On-site lodging options such as shared cabins, RV spots, and tent sites are available by reservation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
