18th Annual Scare Brain Cancer Away 5K Run/Walk
This event on October 31, 2026, is centered at East Rochester High School with the course running through the streets of East Rochester, NY. It includes a 5K (3.1 Miles) run/walk and a 1.5 Mile walking-only option. The entry fee for each event is $35.00. USATF members receive a discount applied at checkout.
Packet pick up is available the day before the event at Rochester Running Company on Mt. Hope Ave and on race morning at the school. Race day registration is available. The cutoff to guarantee a race shirt on race day is October 1, 2026. The event offers a race t-shirt, a post-race party, and awards for the top three finishers in each five-year age group.
Monetary awards are listed for top overall finishers and masters: first place $50, second $40, third $30; top masters $30. Proceeds from the event will be split between the race recipient and the Wilmot Cancer Center Needs Fund.
