2026 Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh) 5k SCADaddle for Research
The event is a chip timed 5k run/walk held at South Park, Edgebrook Field, 2372 Corrigan Drive, South Park Township, PA on Saturday, October 4, 2026. The course is hosted within South Park, described as a large historic park that is kid friendly and dog friendly.
Participants will find postrace refreshments and a SCAD Store on site. Awards are planned for the overall male and female winners, and medals or recognition will be given to top finishers across age categories. Walk in registrations are welcomed for the 5k.
A separate evening reunion is scheduled for Saturday, October 3 at 7Twelve Table and TapHouse in Pleasant Hills for SCAD survivors, supporters, and SCAD angel families. A clinician from UPMC Women’s Cardiovascular Disease Cardiology is scheduled to share information about SCAD and answer questions at that gathering. Dinner reservations for the reunion have an advance deadline.
The event supports fundraising and awareness for Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection research. A block of discounted rooms is available at SpringHill Suites West Mifflin with a reservation deadline for the discounted rate. A national sponsor for the event is Dune Jewelry.
