Sawdust 5K and LaVonna 1 Mile
- 5K : loop course starting and finishing at Pinehurst Park in Cloquet.
- 1 mile : walk/run from Northwoods Credit Union down Cloquet Avenue.
The Sawdust 5K is a 3.1 mile loop that starts and finishes at Pinehurst Park, traveling through West Cloquet and the historic Pinehurst Park area. A T-shirt option is available and shirts are guaranteed for registrants by 6/13/26. An award ceremony follows the race with 1st through 3rd overall awards for female and male divisions and 1st place awards by age bracket: 12 and under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. Awards for a non-binary division may be offered if at least three participants pre-register by 6/7/26. All race entries are non refundable.
A free optional 10K challenge called the Jimmer is offered by the local running club. To complete it participants run the same 5K course immediately in the opposite direction. This challenge is free and does not require separate registration.
The LaVonna 1 mile walk/run is an unofficially timed event for all ages. It begins at Northwoods Credit Union, 1702 Avenue B, and follows Cloquet Avenue to finish at the corner of 11th Street and Cloquet Avenue by The Jack bar.
