Saving Grace 5K
The event is a fundraiser for Saving Grace Women's Home of Tennessee held at Victor Ashe Park. In-person options include a 5K, a 10K and a one mile fun run/walk, and there is a virtual 5K option for those who participate remotely. The paved greenway course begins near the main pavilion, follows the path toward the elementary school, then loops back to the start; 10K participants complete the loop twice.
Packet pickup is available race morning at the pavilion. Restrooms and a water fountain are available near the start and finish area.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K, and to the top male and female in each age group. Age groups are awarded in ten-year increments (12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+). An award is given to the fastest boy and girl in the one mile event. All 5K and 10K registrants receive a race T-shirt; T-shirt orders close May 25 to guarantee shirt size. Finishers receive a finisher medal upon completion.
Participants in the virtual event and the one mile run will not be scored. Virtual participants may submit results within a ten day window following the event. All proceeds support the nonprofit mission and housing services of Saving Grace. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
