Save the Strays 5k and Fun Run

The Save the Strays 5k and Fun Run takes place on Saturday, March 28, 2026. The event features two distances:

5k Run
1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

The race is held at Timber Creek Park in Blackwood, New Jersey. The course is described as scenic and takes place mostly on paved surfaces with some trail sections.

All proceeds from the event go to two cat rescue charities: For Kitty's Sake and Village Trappers. The funds raised support medical treatments, vaccinations, spaying, neutering, and Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) efforts for stray cats in South Jersey.

Registered participants for the 5k receive a free race shirt if they register by March 12. All participants receive a finisher medal. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as the top three male and female finishers in each age group.
