Save our Vets and Pets 5K
The Save our Vets and Pets 5K is a community run and walk held on April 11, 2026, along The LINC Trail in Newnan. The event includes these distances:
- 5K run/walk.
- 1K kids fun run and dog walk.
All registrations include a T-shirt, bib, and refreshments; the first 100 registrants receive a medal. The course begins at the Newnan Centre LINC Trailhead entrance and participants are advised to meet and park at the Newnan Centre. The route is described as scenic and winds through the LINC Trail; it is stroller-friendly and dog-friendly. Hydration stations are available near the beginning and the middle of the course.
Proceeds benefit June's Second Chance Ranch, a non-profit animal rescue and equine therapy facility that provides horse-assisted therapy to adults with PTSD and other trauma-related issues. The facility offers free or low cost sessions aimed at supporting veterans and first responders. Event activities include the 5K run/walk, the 1K kids fun run, a dog or service dog walk, and on-site raffles drawn during the event.
