Savannah Ultra Urban 50k Run
The Savannah Ultra Urban 50k is a free, self-supported city run taking place in Savannah, Georgia on November 28, 2026. The event covers a distance of 50K and is organized by Run 4 a Reason. Entry is capped at 25 runners.
The course begins and ends at the Waving Girl statue on Riverfront Savannah and is changed annually so participants see different parts of the city. The route includes both scenic and busy sections of Savannah. Runners are asked to stay attentive to traffic, use sidewalks when available, and run against traffic where appropriate. The organizer advises participants to carry sufficient fluids, gels, and fuel because on-course retail stops cannot be relied upon.
Admission requires answering a short question explaining why the applicant wants to run a free 50K through Savannah. The first 25 responses received by email are moved from the waitlist into registration. Selected answers may be posted on RoughRunnersR4R.com/blog.
Each finisher receives a custom made tile art item that features a Savannah token. Registration closes on Friday, November 20, 2026.
