The Giraffe Gallop : event overview
The Giraffe Gallop is a timed running event held from a base at The Last Hop, Unit 2, Thames Edge Court, Clarence Street, Staines, TW18 4SU. It is organised as a 7-hour Time Challenge that allows participants to choose how far they run, with a minimum official finisher distance of 3 km. Completing at least 3 km earns the giraffe medal; additional distance pins are awarded for half-marathon distance and above.

Entry prices range from £18.00 to £35.00. A reduced entry price of £23.00 is noted as available to members.
Course, facilities and event services
The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames, is fully signed, and uses mainly well-made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section. A full lap is listed as 7 km (4.37 miles) but may be changed to a shorter loop depending on conditions; 3k and 5k turn points are provided within the lap. Aid and drinks tables are available at the start/finish area of each lap with savoury and sweet snack options including vegan choices. Toilets and changing facilities are provided at the venue. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park, Staines, TW18 4TP. Headphones are permitted and there is a non-secure bag-drop at the start/finish.
