The Highland Hotfoot
The Highland Hotfoot is organised by Saturn Running on 7 February 2026 at The Last Hop, Unit 2, Thames Edge Court, Clarence Street, Staines, TW18 4SU. The event is a 7 hour Time Challenge that lets participants choose how many laps to run, with a minimum distance of 3 km.
A full lap is listed as 4.37 miles or 7 km and may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. The lap includes 3 km and 5 km turn points to accommodate younger runners and to meet UK Athletics age rules. The lap counts given are 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon and 7 or more for an ultra; a 50 km option is also available.
The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames, is fully signed, and is mainly on well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section. Road shoes are suitable. Walkers are welcome. Specific minimum ages apply for some distances: 5 km 12 and over, 10 km 16 and over, half marathon 17 and over, marathon 18 and over, 50 km 20 and over, ultra and Time Challenge 18 and over.
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a Highland Cow medal. Distance pins are available for half marathon and longer distances. There is a goody bag with a vegan option, an aid and drinks table at the start and finish of each lap, venue toilets and changing facilities, parking at Bridge Street Car Park TW18 4TP, unsecured bag storage, and headphones are allowed. Events take place on public footpaths so runners should be considerate of other users. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
