The Penguin Plod - Northampton
The Penguin Plod - Northampton is scheduled for 20 March 2027 at Northampton Active, Bedford Rd, Northampton NN4 7AA. The event is a 7 hour Time Challenge held on well maintained paths and trail around the Northampton Washlands and is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules.
Runners may choose how many laps to complete. The minimum distance to be an official finisher is 3 km. A full lap is 4.37 miles (about 7 km) subject to change; 3 laps equals a half marathon, 6 laps a marathon, and 7 or more laps an ultra. A 50 km distance is also offered.

Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal; distance pins are issued for half-marathon and longer achievements. There is an aid and drinks table at the start/finish of each lap with savoury and sweet options and vegan choices. All finishers receive a goody bag, with a vegan goody bag available.
Facilities include toilets but no separate changing rooms or showers. Parking at the venue is limited and nearby paid parking may be available. Number pick up is on the day at race registration.
