Midweek Medal Madness Run - August 2026
This event, organised by Saturn Too, is a midweek Time Challenge designed to offer affordable entries so participants can build event numbers or pursue personal goals. The format allows flexible start times on the event day. All abilities are welcome and walkers are permitted.
The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and is held under UK Athletics rules. Members receive the lowest entry price, guaranteed entry and a mini-me medal pin at each event. Runners who belong to a UK Athletics affiliated club receive a £2.00 entry discount.
The event is a 7 hour Time Challenge. The minimum recognised distance is 3 km, which is part of a lap. A full lap is listed as 7 km (4.37 miles) but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. Shorter turn points at 3 km and 5 km are provided for compliance with age distance rules. Specific lap counts given by the organiser identify half-marathon, marathon and ultra distances; a 50 km option is available.
The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. Approximately 60% is on well-made path or tarmac, with the remainder on grass and light trail that can become muddy. Road shoes are suitable year-round; trail shoes may be preferred for grip. The course may be adjusted after health and safety review and landowner approval.
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a medal. Distance pins are available for half-marathon and longer distances and are attached to the medal ribbon. Finishers receive a goody bag, with a vegan option. An aid and drinks table is provided at the start/finish of each lap with a selection of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items.
Venue facilities at The Last Hop include toilets but no separate changing rooms or showers. Car parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park, Staines TW18 4TP. A non-secure bag area is provided at the start/finish. Headphones are allowed and participants are asked to be considerate of other public footpath users.
This event is organised and managed by Saturn Too Limited, a franchise partner of Saturn Running. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
